Mathilde R. King

Mathilde R. King, 88, of Petersburg died Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at her residence. She was born the daughter of the late Michael and Mathilde Haid Reiser and is also preceded in death by her husband Clarence E. King. Mrs. King was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was retired from K-Mart after 10 plus years of service. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and is survived by her children Deborah King, Adlai King and the love of his life Robin Nagy, Diana King Pecht and husband, David and Stephen King; eight grandchildren, Adlai King, Jr., Christopher King, Adrienne King, Lauren Pecht, Neal Pecht, Bobby King, Keyoshe Spratley and Jamia Wilson; one great-grandson, Isaiah King; a brother, Anton Reiser and wife, Gerta; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, July 10th. A graveside funeral will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. Joseph Outreach Program, PO Box 2006, Petersburg, VA, 23804.
