Matthew Craig Thompson

Matthew Craig Thompson, 60, of Chesterfield, VA passed away on May 15, 2022. Matt was kind, loving, humorous, and down to earth. He didn't have much but he would give you all that he had. He enjoyed playing pool on his tablet. He attended Matoaca High School and was in the Marine Corp. He became paralyzed at the age of 18. He loved to be outside riding around in his wheelchair. He was a long time resident of the Envoy Nursing Home. He thought it was important to share his life experience of why he became paralyzed by telling others never to drink and drive. He laughed often, and loved with all his heart. He is predeceased by his mother, Edith R. Thompson. He is survived by his father, Herbert F. Thompson (Margaret); brother, Simon Thompson (Sandra); nephew, Adam Thompson (Stacy); nieces, Marie Cottingham (David) and Amanda Thompson; step-daughter, Nicole Subley ; step-granddaughter, Arabella; his great-nephews and nieces, Dylan, Katelyn, Jenna, Daniel, Landin, Kaitlyn, Emily, Ben, and Alayna. Gone, but not forgotten.
