Mattie Rachel Hines

Mattie Rachel Hines, 84, of Hopewell, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Wallace and Annie Belle Maness. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Louis Carroll Hines; daughter, Mary C. Wyatt; daughter-in-law, Margaret Wyatt. She is survived by sons, Jackie C. Wyatt (Phyllis), Paul E. Wyatt, Kenneth Hines (Michelle), and Louis Hines, Jr. (Karen); daughters, Nancy Britton and Crystal Bartlett (Greg); 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, David Maness (Judy); and sister, Julia Ann Garner.
Rachel had a love for cooking and especially loved planning the family’s annual Christmas party. She also received great enjoyment spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
