Megan Michelle Johnston

Megan Michelle Johnston, 27, of Chester, VA passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2019. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, T.G. “Papa” Woodfin; and her paternal grandfather, Richard Otey Hubbard, Sr. Megan was a 2010 graduate of Thomas Dale High School in Chester. She also graduated from ECPI with a Medical Assistant’s Degree and a Sonography Degree. After graduating from ECPI, she went on to work for Bon Secours as a Vascular Ultrasound Technician. Megan had a deep love for her family and will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. She is survived by her loving husband of 10 years, Dave Johnston, III; her daughter, Zoie Johnston; mother, Traci Woodfin Hubbard; father, Richard Hubbard; maternal grandmother, Faye “Me-Ma” Taylor Woodfin; paternal grandmother, Joan Hubbard; a half-brother, Robert Goad; mother and father-in-law, Marilyn Daffron (Bill Beatty) and David Johnston, II; and numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends; as well as her loving and loyal pets Reece and Luna. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in East Matoaca Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made at any BB&T bank to the Zoie Johnston/William L.
