Melissa Diane Lucas, 43 of Hopewell, VA passed away, Tuesday, August 29, 2017. She is preceded in death by her grandparents. She is survived by her mother, Sharon Leath and husband Dwight; father, Jimmie Ray Lucas; sister, Renee Best and husband, Kevin; brother, Bill Lucas; brother, James Lucas; sister, Theresa Lucas; nieces, Erica Best, Brittany Palmer and husband, Tim, Kendal Best, Paris Lucas, Julia Lucas, and Kyleigh Palmer; nephews, Clayton Lucas, Jacob Lucas, Nicholas Lucas, Kade Lucas, Landon May, and Mason Wallace; her beloved dog, “Ace”; as well as numerous extended family and friends.
