Melissa Ann Widmark Blackmon

Melissa Ann Widmark Blackmon, 43, of Hopewell, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016. She is survived by her husband, John W. Blackmon; parents, Richard and Doris Widmark; children, Thomas Widmark and David Jones; brother, Richard A. Widmark, Jr.; brother-in-law, Thomas Blackmon Jr. (Sarah); sister-in-law, Mary Jeffries (Mike); numerous extended family and friends; and her special dogs, “Angel”, “Barren”, and “P.J.” A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 19 at 5:00p.m. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Melissa’s honor to your local SPCA.
