Melvin Eugene Jenkins Sr.

Melvin E. Jenkins Sr., 76, of Waverly VA, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017. Born in Burkeville, VA he was the son of the late James F. and Lilly Powell Jenkins. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jenkins; two sons, Melvin Jenkins Jr. and Kenny R. Jenkins; a daughter, Judy Faye Jenkins; four sisters, Dorothy Shpil, Jane Salmon, Peggy Sanders and Rebecca Austin; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
