Melvin Smith

Melvin E. Smith, 70, of Hopewell died July 24, 2010. He was the son of the late Grover and Virginia Sheffield Smith. He enjoyed fishing, antique cars, and the love of his life, his grandkids. Mr. Smith is survived by his daughter, Lisa M. Wright and husband, Donald L. Jr.; three grandchildren, Haley, Madeline, and Jackson Wright; a sister, Clara S. Loving and husband, Richard; two nephews, Anthony and Brandon Woodruff; devoted friend, Virginia Barlow and Family; and numerous cousins. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Legion Post 146, in Hopewell.
