Merle Mae Ancarrow West

Merle Mae Ancarrow West, 82, of Chester, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021. Born in Richmond, VA she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Gladys Ancarrow. She is preceded in death by her husband Ernest E “Sonny” West, sisters, Geraldine Cecil (James), Reavice Mosher (Russ), Joyce Townley (Dump) and Connie Kelly (Henry). She is survived by her son Michael “Shane” West (Gwen) and grandsons Michael West and Justin West as well as several nieces and nephews. Merle loved to thrift and attend yard sales and when she found a good deal, she called it a crunch. She will be forever loved and cherished by her friends and family. A public visitation will be held on July 26, 2021 from 3-7pm. A service will be held Tuesday, July 27, 2021 at 10 a.m. at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home Chester Chapel, 3050 W Hundred Rd. Chester, VA 23831. The family requests friends and family dress in casual attire for services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
