Merriel â??Sissyâ? Claudine Hartman Fers 82 of Chester, Virginia went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 4, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Clayton and Winnie Hartman and wife of 42 years of the late Herbert Allen Fers. She was predeceased by son Dennis Allen Fers and brothers Wilber, John and Gilbert. â??Sissyâ? is a lifetime resident of Chesterfield County and was well known as â??Grannyâ? at Harrowgate Elementary School where she spent many devoted hours volunteering to work with children of all ages. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. â??Sissyâ? is survived by 2 sons William â??Billyâ? G. Fers and wife Virginia â??Jennyâ? of Chester, Virginia and Larry C. Fers of Petersburg, Virginia., 2 daughters, Crystal Gail Boudreaux and husband Lloyd of Charlotte, N.C. and Regina Lynn Fers of Ridge, N.Y., 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, brother Richard Hartman of Hopewell, Virginia, 2 sisters, Lucy Clark of Matoaca, Virginia and Dorothy Wells of Dinwiddie, Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends at the Chester Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with funeral service on Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Chester Chapel of J. T.
