Michael Wayne Akers, Sr

Michael Wayne Akers, Sr., 76, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on June 24, 2022. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Akers; father, Henry Akers; sister, Sharon Akers; mother, Mable Akers; as well as his wife, Peggy Akers.

Michael is survived by his son, Michael Akers, Jr. (Megan); daughter, Anne Murray (Jeff); stepchildren, Susan Leslie and Jimmy Turner; grandchildren, Art, Amber, Tyler, Brittany, Jasmine, Rachel, Anthony, Ayden, Nolan, and Genevieve; along with 2 great-grandchildren.
