Michael J. Bogese, 92, of Prince George County, VA, died at John Randolph Hospital, Wednesday, June 15, of complications from a stroke. He founded Bogese Construction Company, which later became Bogese, Inc., in 1945, developing ten subdivisions in the Prince George, Hopewell and Chesterfield areas. He was a 1935 chemical engineering graduate of Virginia Tech. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Hopewell. He is survived by five children, Susan Wagner (Lester) of Chesterfield, Michael J. Bogese, Jr., (Susie) of Richmond, David R. Bogese of Hopewell, Mary Ann Carter (David), of Indianapolis and Barbara Jean Patton (Charles) of Hopewell, a sister, Vondra Weeks, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, a brother, George Bogese of Petersburg, thirteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A Christian wake will be held at J.T. Morriss and Son, Hopewell Chapel, 820 W. Broadway, Friday at 7 p.m., with visitation to follow until 9 p.m.. A funeral Mass will be said at St. James Catholic Church in Hopewell Saturday at 10 a.m. with burial at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens in Prince George.
