Michael Fescemyer

Sgt. First Class Michael Alan Fescemyer, U.S. Army, died Saturday, November 12, 2011, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA and made his home in Hopewell, VA while stationed at Ft. Lee, VA. During his military career he served in Iraq and Panama. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Hopewell Council #4568. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lisa Fescemyer, two daughters, Kiersten Fescemyer Godwin and her husband Dale, Andie Leigh Fescemyer, his parents, Robert and Judy Fescemyer, two brothers, Robert Fescemyer and his wife Maryann, Timothy Daniel Fescemyer and his wife, Margaret; and a sister Marie Cote, devoted friends Tim and Linda Heretick, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family members. The family will receive friends Monday, November 14, 2011 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dr. Ivan Perkinson officiating.
