Michael Francis Joyce

Michael Francis Joyce, 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Joyce; his wife, Leslie Joyce; his son, Mark Joyce; and his sister, Dee Joyce Taylor. Michael liked to spend his time being active and lifting weights, working out, and walking around the local mall with his friends. He enjoyed working in his yard. Michael also volunteered with both the Red Cross at local blood drives, with shut-ins at community nursing homes, and as a volunteer buddy reader at Matoaca Elementary School. He was active in various churches throughout the years, and had been a member at Matoaca Baptist Church. Michael is survived by his daughter, Michelle Reed (Joseph); grandchildren, Jessica Grauso (Jeremy), Tyler Reed (Emily), and Connor Palmore; great-grandchildren, Miaella Grauso and Charlie Reed; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Patricia and Jimmy Johnson, Ronnie Wicks, and Fred Phelps; and former daughter-in-law, Charise Joyce and her son, Austin Williams. The family would like to thank Crater Community Hospice for their loving care and support to Michael. The family will receive friends at J.T. Morriss & Son - Petersburg Chapel, 103 S. Adams Street, on Monday, May 16, 2022 from 10-11 AM, where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery.
