Michael Rudolph Kaleyta

Michael Rudolph Kaleyta, 63, of Disputanta, Va. went home to the Lord on Monday, October 24, 2016 after battling a long illness. He was born in Petersburg, Va. He was the son of the late Adolph Paul and Anna Lietz Kaleyta. He was preceded in death by his Maternal grandparents,
Rudolph E. W. Lietz and Elizabeth Vollmer; Paternal grandparents, Martin Kaleyta and Mary Brokowski Kaleyta; Uncles, Albert Kaleyta, Adam Kaleyta, John Kaleyta, Alfred Kaleyta, and Eugene Lietz; Aunts, Ruth Kaleyta Roberts, and Mary Lou Lietz. Michael graduated from JTTC with a degree in Pre-Engineering. He retired from Phillip Morris after 26 years of service, and enjoyed trains, reading, astronomy, astrology, and computers. He is survived by his Loving and faithful Aunts, Martha Kaleyta Ailstock, Lula Whiteheart Kaleyta, his cousins, Robert Roberts, Rebecca Roberts Grymes, Barbara Roberts Dowdy, Kathy Kaleyta Klimek, M. Terri Kaleyta Stephenson, Connie Kaleyta Gladin, Jacqueline Kaleyta Lane, Alan Ailstock, Stanley Ailstock, Candance Kaleyta Jones; Lifelong friends, Arthur Donigan, Gerald Koren, Jr., and Howard “Pee Wee” Moore; numerous extended family and friends. A service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will immediately follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
