Michael David Rayner

Michael David Rayner, 45, of Prince George, Va. died February 13, 2018. Born in Hopewell, Va., he was the son of Gilbert Bruce Rayner, Sr. and Alice Jane Spain Rayner. He was a loving son and brother, who, while restricted physically, spent his life bringing joy to everyone he met. He enjoyed music, balloons, and most of all, his family. He was a member of the Super Kids, and for many years participated in numerous church events. He is survived by his father, Gilbert Bruce Rayner, Sr., his mother, Alice Jane Spain Rayner, his sister, Tina Lynn Rayner Sumner, and his brother, Gilbert Bruce Rayner, Jr., as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 15, 2018, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Woodlawn Baptist Church, located at 3512 Virginia St., Hopewell, Va. The funeral service, scheduled for Friday, February 16, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., will also be held at Woodlawn Baptist Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Hendricks officiating.
