Michael F. Woodfin

Michael Francis Woodfin, 65, of Alexandria, passed away on January 29, 2013. He was the son of the late Gilbert H. Woodfin. Mr. Woodfin was retired from Fairfax County as a purchasing supervisor. He volunteered his time at the INOVA Alexandria Hospital and INOVA Mt. Vernon Hospital in many capacities to include the role of chaplain. He is survived by his wife, Virginia “Ginger” Woodfin; daughter, Jennifer Llamas and husband, Christopher; two grandchildren, Shaelyn and Gunnar; mother, Juanita D. Woodfin; two brothers, Ronald Woodfin and wife, Sandi, and John Woodfin and wife, Amy; two nieces, Savannah and Chandler Woodfin; and one nephew, Timothy Woodfin. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 4, 2013 in the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Carl Weaver, officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
