Michelle Dewell Burcham, 59, of Dinwiddie Co., (formerly Colonial Heights, VA) passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 in Hope Town, Abaco Island in the Bahamas. She was a native of Prince George County and the daughter of the late John Robert Dewell, Sr. and Renee Freed Dewell. Michelle had been employed with the Department of Defense at Fort Lee, Virginia for the last 29 years; her most current position held was through the Defense Contract Management Agency as a Management Analyst. She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Burcham; two daughters, Stephanie Michelle Thompson, Meredith Renee Thompson and their father, Odis D. Thompson. Stepdaughters, Amy R. Burcham and Casey L. Burcham. She is also survived by her brother, John R. Dewell, Jr. and wife JoAnn; two sisters Jan Dewell Powers and husband, Mark, Simone Dewell FaJohn and husband Bob; brothers-in-law, Mark Burcham and wife, Rhonda, Jimmy Burcham, Randy Burcham and wife Debbie and sister-in-law Sherry Burcham (deceased) and husband Eddie, father-in-law, Gordon Burcham and wife Joyce, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Red Knights, P.O.
