Milciades Antonio Dominguez, 91, of Chester, passed away on Thursday, July 18, 2019. Born in the Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Ramon Dominguez and Idalia Villa Dominguez. He was preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 67 years, Irma. Mr. Dominguez had a special relationship with Irma and their companionship was a perfect example of a strong and true marriage. He was also preceded in death by grandson, Daniel Paul Geib; brother-in-law, Richard Podlenski; sister-in-law Dina Battiston; and brother-in-law Joseph Battiston. Mr. Dominguez proudly served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church. He was very mechanically inclined and spent his career in mechanics. He was known to be a Mr. Fix-it. Mr. Dominguez enjoyed telling jokes and laughing. He also enjoyed music, singing, and dancing. He especially enjoyed Spanish poetry and songs and was very proud of his Dominican heritage. His favorite baseball team was the New York Yankees. He was a very friendly person and quick to strike up a conversation with neighbors and people in stores. He enjoyed relaxing outdoors, watching rainstorms, and most recently cooking french toast “his way”. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by twin-brother, Antonio and wife, Ines; sister, Milcia Podlenski; brother Danilo and wife, Helen; half-sister, Kirsys Condito; and half-brother, Darmenio Cario. He is also survived by four children, Melissa Dominguez Geib and husband, Roy, Milt Dominguez and wife, Julie, Dennis Dominguez and wife, Nancy, and Mary Dominguez Ranallo and husband, Chris; eleven grandchildren, Jeremy Geib and wife, Heather, Bethany Geib-Rosch and husband, Jacob, Kyle Dominguez and wife, Jennifer, Kristen Dominguez Boggs and husband, Chris, Michael Dominguez and wife, Lauren, David Dominguez, Philip Dominguez, Christian Ranallo, Aaron Ranallo, Jordan Ranallo, and Arianna Ranallo; nine great-grandchildren, Caleb Geib, Noah Boggs, Sofia Geib-Rosch, Nicholas Geib, Aaron Boggs, Rachael Dominguez, Gabriella Dominguez, Lucas Geib-Rosch, and Anthony Dominguez; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.The family would like to thank Hospice of Virginia at The Retreat Doctors Hospital for their compassionate care. A funeral service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
