Mildred Scott Carwile

November 18, 1934 — September 28, 2013

Mildred Scott Carwile, 78, of Richmond, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013. Born in Keysville, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James ‘Jim” Henry and Shirley Greene Scott. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie Breeden. She is survived by her children, Ed Carwile (Samantha), Bobby Carwile (Beverly), Vicky Carwile, Richard Carwile, and Shirl Szala (Rick), and their father, Eugene; grandchildren, Heather, Richie, Ryan, Madeline, and Scotlyn; great-grandchildren, Nadia and Lexi; brother, Warner (Joyce) and many dear relatives and friends. She worked for 39 years as a clerk with Verizon and 4 years with John Tyler Community College after her retirement. She was a member of Bermuda Baptist Church. Special thanks go out to Donna and Brenda and the Horizons Hospice Team. Since Childhood, Mildred was known to never miss an opportunity to ask questions. Mildred’s straight forward comments, sense of humor and generosity will be missed by all. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Dale Memorial Park. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com
