Mildred E. Anderson

Mildred Pauline Ellison Anderson, 84, of Spring Grove, passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012. She was a member of Pastor Gary Rossâ?? church, Community Baptist Church in Surry County. Mrs. Anderson was retired from Allied Chemical - Fibers Division in Chesterfield County in 1985. She was a member of Spring Grove Community Club which recently folded. Also, Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Guilford Heights Association; and the Hopewell Community Center where she loved the water aerobics. She was very dedicated to her husband and her family, Mrs. Anderson put aside her life to help her husband, who had Alzheimerâ??s, until he passed in 2004. She will be dearly missed. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, Richard L. Anderson, Jr.; her parents, Emory and Myrtle Ellison; and her sisters, Macyl Yates and Bertha Tuttle. She is survived by her son, Sheriff Greg Anderson and his wife, Ellen Hunter of Hopewell; daughter, Debora Anderson of Spring Grove; grandchildren, Katie and Will Anderson and their mother, Pam Anderson. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the funeral home, with Pastor Gary Ross officiating. Interment will follow at Appomattox Cemetery.
