Mildred Falls

Mildred Morris Falls, 89, of Hopewell, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2009. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hopewell for 76 years, teaching Sunday school, serving on the Deaconess board, and participating in WMC. Mrs. Falls also volunteered at John Randolph Hospital for 30 years as a Gray Lady for the Red Cross. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aetius P. and Martha Morris, her husband Arthur Lloyd�Artie� Falls, brother, Floyd P. Morris, and great granddaughter, Whitley Saunders Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Falls Whitlock and husband, C. Elwood Whitlock of Hopewell, grandchildren, Kimberly M. Saunders and husband, James, and grandson, Christopher Whitlock, all of Colonial Heights, and great-grandchild, Kennedy Tomas Saunders, her brother, Francis E. Morris of Chester. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, May 8, 2009 at the Appomattox Cemetery,. with the Rev. Jeff Raymond, pastor of First Baptist Church officiating.
