Mildred Campbell Fox

Mildred Campbell Fox, 84, of Hopewell, VA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Born in Hopewell, VA she was the daughter of the late Leo C. and Haver Smith Campbell; and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Merry Chris Jones. She was a graduate of John Tyler Community College in Chester, VA. Mrs. Fox retired from Ft. Lee after many years of service and had also worked for several other government agencies. After her retirement, she went on to work as a licensed cosmetologist. She was a devoted Christian and had a deep love for her Lord and Savior. Mrs. Fox will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her loving husband, Edward J. Fox; two daughters, Sheila Walton and Pam Westberry and husband, Al; six grandchildren, Brandon Thompson, Brett Walton, Amber Young (Chris), Heather Thompson, Matthew Walton and Ian Westberry; eight great-grandchildren, Trey, Ryleigh, Georgie, Waylynn, Seth, Evan, Chloe and Kenna; and numerous loving cousins, extended family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the funeral home.
