Mildred “Millie” Browder Gage, 82, of Brighter Living Assisted Living, formerly of Delton Avenue, died Friday, September 24, 2004 in John Randolph Medical Center. She was born in Sutherland, Va and had been a resident of Hopewell for most of her lifetime. Mrs. Gage was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church and retired office manager from Hopewell Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Samuel and Cassie Tudor Browder and the widow of Floyd Livingstone Gage. Mrs. Gage is survived by her daughter, Anne G. Broyhill and her husband Richard “Dick” Broyhill of Hopewell, one grandson, Michael Ray Broyhill of Wilmington, NC, one brother, Gordon Browder of Missoula, MT and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at 11 AM in St. John’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Bruce Bevans, rector officiating. The family will receive friends in the church parish hall following the service. Interment will be private.
