Mildred F. Hash of Chester, VA, died at University Park, in Richmond, VA on February 14, 2006. She was born on May 8, 1918, in Jenkinsjones, WV. She grew up in Elkhorn, WV, and was the daughter of the late John E. and Anna Vernon Franklin. She was a member of Elkhorn Methodist Church, and the Ladies Guild. She was preceded in death
by husbands, George Haluski Jr., Harry Henthorn, and Donald Hash. Surviving are her daughters, Emily Batten and husband Russell of Smithfield, VA, and Patricia ?Patty? O?Brien and husband Mike of Chester, VA; grandsons, Michael O?Brien and wife Kim
of Jeffersonville, IN, Mark O?Brien of Tampa FL, and Bill Batten of Smithfield, VA; great-grand son, James Conrad O?Brien of Jeffersonville, IN; step-sons Bill Henthorn
and wife Joyce, of Dublin, VA, and Donnie Hash and wife Pat of Waynesboro, VA; sister Hazel Cook of Belhaven, NC; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 1:00 p.m. at Alamance Memorial Gardens in Burlington, NC, with Rev. Beverly McDowell officiating.
