Mildred Jefferson

Mildred Elaine Jefferson, age 81, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2011. She was born in Sampson County, N.C., the daughter of the late Simon and Sadie Mae Faison. Mrs. Jefferson was also preceded in death by her husband, John A. Jefferson, and son, Anthony Jefferson. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Gibson and her husband William, Sharon Brooks and her husband Frederick and Doreatha Golden; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Cynthia Francis; and brother, James Luster. Mrs. Jefferson was a long-time member of the True Light Christian Church. Memorial services will take place on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. in the J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Chester chapel.
