Mildred Q. Laine

Mildred Quesenberry Laine of Petersburg, VA, died at 83 years of age on June 19, 2015 at Golden Living Center, Petersburg. Born in Pulaski, VA in 1932, she was the daughter of the late James and Nora Quesenberry. She was also predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Guy L. Laine, as well as a brother, Crusie Quesenberry. She was a loving mother to her sons and daughters-in-law: David McPeak (and Mary) of Woolwine, VA, Randy McPeak (and Betty) of Deltona, FL, Guy M. Laine (and Bonnie) of Chester, VA, Jamie Laine (and Kathy) of Scottsburg, VA. In addition to many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, survivors also include a dear sister, Gaye Scott, of Richmond. Mrs. Laine retired from Safeway Stores, Inc. She will long be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit throughout her life and lengthy illness. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 22, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 103 S. Adams St., Petersburg, VA 23803. Friends and family will gather for a graveside service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Southlawn Memorial Park, 1911 Birdsong Rd., Prince George, VA 23805.
