Mildred Arnetta Traylor Maddrey

Mildred Arnetta Traylor Maddrey, 78, of McKenney, VA passed away on June 15, 2015. Born in Petersburg, VA she was the daughter of the late Raymond Guy and Myrtie Odell Mingea Traylor; and was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Maddrey. Mrs. Maddrey was a member of Second Baptist Church in Petersburg and was also a longtime volunteer at Save Our Shelter Dog Rescue. She retired from Hunton and Williams as a paralegal after many years of service. She is survived by her three daughters, Robin Loyall and husband, Tony, Bonnie Brockwell and partner, Judy Ray, and Lynne Ovens and partner, Tina Payne; one son, Butch Ovens and wife, Julie; four grandchildren, Michelle Brockwell, Shannon Townsend and husband, Kevin, Matthew and Hunter Ovens; and one great-grandson, Easton Ovens. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to your local SPCA or to Gentiva Hospice.
