Mildred Roberts

Mildred Moore Roberts, 88 of Colonial Heights, died Thursday, June 21, 2007 at John Randolph Medical Center. She is survived by her husband and soul mate of 67 years, Gilbert L. Roberts, Sr. â??Linkyâ?. She was a native of Petersburg and the daughter of the late Thomas P. & Inez Wright Moore. She was a retired education specialist at Ft. Lee. She was a member of Colonial Heights Womanâ??s Club, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and Second Baptist Church, a very spiritual individual who loved her church. She was a wonderful woman who spent her life devoted to the Lord, her family and friends, and in turn was loved by all. Her strong faith and kind generous spirit was an inspiration to her family and all who knew her. Heaven has a new angel. Besides her husband she is survived by her son, Gilbert Roberts of Midlothian; daughter, Judy Howell of Colonial Heights; sister, Virginia Schaffer of Seaford, DE; brother, Thomas P. Moore of Colonial Heights; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Monday, June 25, 2007 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Sunday at the funeral Home. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery.
