Mildred "Mickey" Ann Sharp

Mildred Ann Sharp, 95, of Hopewell, VA, left this world to be with Jesus on October 17, 2021. Born in Petersburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Pond and Thelma Costley. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Sharp; brother, Everette Pond and daughter, Jacqueline Owens. She is survived by her children, Cissy Buyalos (Norman), Jerry Sharp (Julie), Joyce Carter (Michael) and C.T. “Sonny” Mason (Sharon); grandchildren, Teresa, Doug, Jr., Christopher, Nicole, Ben, Courtney, Rhenda, Clint, Chip and Rebecca; fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. A visitation will be held at J.T. Morriss & Son Hopewell Chapel on Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. The family invites all who would like to attend to the graveside service which will take place on Monday, October 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Appomattox Cemetery, 703 N. 21st Avenue Hopewell, VA 23860. The family suggests masks be worn for the visitation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to New Covenant Church of the Brethren, 1611 Point of Rocks Rd, Chester, VA 23836.
