Mildred Gill Williamson, of Petersburg, VA, died June 1, 2014. She was the daughter of the late Raymond Willis and Ethel Gill. She was preceded in death by her husband James Newell Williamson, Sr. Mildred was a life-long resident of Petersburg and a devoted member of Christ and Grace Episcopal Church and attended Sweet Briar College. She is survived by her sons, James Newell Williamson, Jr. and his wife, Melanie Moore Williamson and Raymond Gill Williamson and his wife, Helen Albers Williamson; five grandchildren, James Newell Williamson III and his wife, Alston, Christopher Moore Williamson and his wife, Mary, Raymond Gill Williamson, Jr. and his wife, Karen, Elizabeth Romaine Compton, John Worthington Williamson and his wife, Genna, Jennifer Albers Linden and her husband, Tom Linden and Stephanie Albers Matevia; and eleven great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, VA, with the Rev. David Teschner officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ and Grace Episcopal Church, 1545 South Sycamore Street, Petersburg, VA 23805 or Crater Community Hospice, 3916 S. Crater Road, Petersburg, VA.
