Milton Lee Pitts, Sr. 76, of Dinwiddie Co. passed away Monday, October 10, 2011. He was predeceased by his first wife Ann P. Pitts, son Milton Lee Pitts, Jr., two sisters-in-law Susan Childress and Beatrice Pitts, along with his parents Benjamin L. Pitts, Sr. and Cornelius Woody Pitts. He was the Past President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles ARIE # 882 and had 30 years of Civil Service for Post Engineers on Ft. Lee, Virginia. Milton was a former owner of Hidden Acres Mobile Home Park also boarded horses for military families and riding school. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean and Vietnam Conflict Wars. He is survived by his wife, Marjorie A. Pitts; four sons, David L. Pitts (Tracie), Richard Pitts, Thomas Childress (Victoria) and Bruce Childress (Michelle); three daughters, Cathee L. Pitts (Terry Taylor), Crystal Childress and Tina Childress; twelve grandchildren; mother-in-law, Florence Childress, numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the residence of Mr. Pitts, 4913 Olgers Road, Petersburg, VA 23803. The family requests flowers can be delivered to the residence.
