Milton “Flash” Pratt Redmond, 95, of Colonial Heights, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Born in Petersburg, he was the son of the late Thaddeus and Rosa Redmond. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Evelyn Smith Redmond, three sisters, Helen Redmond, Frances Bowers, and Mildred Ronning; five brothers, Arnette, Hoy, Thad, James, and Buster Redmond. Milton was baptized in the First Christian Church of Petersburg, and a staunch contributor to the Voice of the Martyrs. He proudly served his country as a WWII Veteran with the Pacific Theater. Milton is survived by his daughter, Susan Sheridan and her husband, Mark; grandchildren, Brian Webb and his wife, Vicky, Michael Webb, and Sara Sheridan; great-grandchildren, Christopher Andrews, and David Webb; nieces, Brenda Vaughan, Jane Ronning, Kay Mims, and Anne Titmus; nephews, Thad Redmond, Jr., Wayne Redmond, and James Redmond; and numerous great-nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, February, 22, 2013 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery.
