Minerva Cornett

Minerva Jane Cornett, age 95, of Richmond, VA, passed away on Sunday, April 04, 2010. She was born in Letcher County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Joshua W. and Rachael Justice Maggard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter N. Cornett; sons, Harry and Dewey Cornett; and daughter, Emma Jean Cornett. Ms. Cornett was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her sons, Lonzo N. Cornett, and wife, Robin of Rockville, VA, Willie E. Cornett, and wife, Kathy of Brooksville, FL, and Robert W. Cornett, and wife, Vickie of Highland Springs, VA; sisters, Hattie Shook of Richmond, VA, and Ada Roberts of Eolia, KY; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 7. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park, Sandston, VA at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Virginia at 7231 Forest Avenue, Suite 100, Richmond, VA 23226.
