Minerva M Walters

Minerva Myers Walters, 90, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. Minerva was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Willard Walters, Sr.; her brother, Henry E. Myers, Jr.; and her sister-in-law, Virginia B. Myers. Born in Chesterfield, VA, she was the daughter of the late Henry Elmer Myers and Ann Frith Myers. Minerva enjoyed cooking, gardening, participating in church activities, enjoying her second family with members of the Seniors Sunday School Class, and spending time with her family and friends. She spent most of her career with the United State Post Office. She is survived by three children, Will Walters (Kim), Jim Walters (Sheila), and Ginger Woody (Jim); grandchildren, Eric, Richard, Ryan (Brandon), Ian (Jade), and Grey (Elle); and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Family will receive friends prior to the service, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
