Minnie “Mildred” Hawkins, 91, of Dinwiddie, VA., was called home to be with her Lord and maker on February 24, 2018. She was loved by many family and friends. She spent 41 years of service at Brown & Williamson & retired in 1981. She was a dedicated Christian who loved her family and little dog Baby. She loved sewing and cutting a rug on Thursday nights at the “music” as she would say. Minnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband James “Jimmy” Hawkins, son Robert “Bobby” Hubbard, mother and father Emma and John Ford Sr., brothers Milton and Edward Ford. Minnie is survived by her daughter, Darlene Quesenberry (Steve); foster daughter, Elizabeth “Kitty” Wilson (David); granddaughters, Kristal Sadler (Brandon Adkins), Samantha Pritchard (Josh), Amber and Bridget Quesenberry; great-grandchildren, Michael and Brandon Long, Andruw and Jayce Hedge, Camden Pritchard, and Addison and Kari Quesenberry; siblings, Louise Brooks (Johnny), Gladys Dawson (Ray), John Ford (Carolyn), Shirley Mayes (Bobby), and Gerald Gramme; many special beloved nieces and nephews. A special thank you to all who cared and supported her in her time of need. The family to receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T.
