Miriam Daulton Seay

Miriam Daulton Seay “Mimi,” 89, of Colonial Heights, VA, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016. Born October 5, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Abner J. and Mabel P. Daulton. In addition to her parents, Miriam was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Emmett T. Seay. Miriam enjoyed her career as a Secretary and Bookkeeper with General Garment Shirt Factory, and later with Petersburg Insurance Company. She was a life member of First Baptist Church of Petersburg. She leaves to cherish her memory a sister, Gloria D. Johnson of N. Dinwiddie; nieces, Kim L. Mann (Ronnie) of Church Road, and Jo Karen Dawson (John) of Rocky Mount, NC; and her special great-nephews, Dylan Price, Corey Mann, and Jack Dawson. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, 235 W. Washington Street, Petersburg, VA 23803. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
