Miriam Mayer Siegle, 80, of Dinwiddie County, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014. Born in Petersburg, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Herman and Mattie Hanshew Mayer. She retired after 20 years of civil service at Fort Lee and was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. She loved to play the piano and served several churches in the area over the years. She was an extremely loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed. Mrs. Siegle is survived by a son, Philip R. Siegle, Jr.; daughters, Linda T. Ford and Kay S. Ordonez; grandchildren, Corinna O. Maitland and husband, Ryan, Clarice O. Kelly and husband, Aaron, Clinton D. Ordonez (Joanna,) Robert E. Tanner, III (Heather,) Philip R. Siegle, III and wife, Laura, and Hope S. Fell and husband, John, and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a true animal lover and also leaves behind her beloved dog, Peppy. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 15, at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery.
