Mitchell Weeks

Mitchell James Weeks, age 47, of Richmond, departed this life on Friday, December 23, 2011. He is survived by his children, Mathew J. Clark Weeks and Amanda J. Clark-Weeks of Matoaca, VA; his mother, Mary Jane Weeks of Chesterfield, VA; two brothers, Dirk A. Weeks of Matoaca and David W. Weeks and wife, Janett of Chesterfield; nieces, Brandi W. Higginbatham and husband, Dallas, and Brittni R. Weeks all of Colonial Heights; two very special people in his life, Phyliss Campbell and her son, Caleb of Richmond; loving aunts and uncles, cousins and friends, all of whom will miss the joy of his presence. He was a member of Matoaca Baptist Church since childhood and grew up in the Matoaca community. Mr. Weeks was an accredited electrician and worked at his trade in Richmond and the local area. He was also an accomplished drummer and at one time played with the Wred Müne Band. He loved the outdoor life, fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, camping and working on his truck. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28th at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at East Matoaca Cemetery with Pastor Donald Joyner officiating. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com .
