Monika Elizabeth Krese

Monika Elizabeth Krese, 72, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerrit and O'rene Wheeler; as well as her loving husband, Paul Krese.

Monika lived a life of service. She worked in the federal government for 36 years as a dedicated federal employee. In her spare time, she enjoyed volunteering and visiting local elementary schools with her late husband and helping teach children how to read.

Monika was known for thinking of others before herself. She was a supportive wife and mother. She never knew a stranger and was a friend to everybody. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Monika is survived by her son, Gary A. Krese; grandsons, Ryan A. Krese (Anslie B. Krese) and Ethan J. Krese; great-grandchild, Olive A. Krese; lifelong best friend, Elaine Carlton; and a long list of close family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM, but the family welcomes those who wish to pay their respects at 9:00 AM. Interment will take place the same day at Quantico National Cemetery at 2:00 PM, with friends welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Monika's name may be made to your local animal shelter.
