Morris Daniel

Morris Franklin Daniel â??Frankâ?, 84, of Hopewell, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Mr. Daniel was a veteran and served his country proudly in the Army. He was a master mechanic and owned and operated Daniel Motor Car Company and Daniel Trucking here in Hopewell for fifty years. Mr. Daniel was a longtime member of Rocky Run United Methodist Church in Alberta, VA. He is preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Daniel; companion of thirty plus years, Cecle Tanne; his parents, Morris and Jeanetta Roberts Daniel; and his brother, James P. Daniel. Mr. Daniel is survived by his children, Jerry Daniel, Bane Daniel, Jeanette Daniel, and David Daniel and his wife Brenda; grandchildren, Gerald Daniel, and Cheryl Daniel and her husband Johnny; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Ernestine D. Loving, Nora D. Adams, and Norma Hamilton Nicholson and her husband Paul; five nephews; four nieces; and other loving family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at Crestview Memorial Park in South Hill, VA.
