Morris Eugene Norwood

Morris E. Norwood, 61, of Chester, VA, entered the arms of his Heavenly Father on March 30, 2023. Born and raised in the Enon area, he was the son of the late Marshall L. Norwood and Dorothy Green Norwood. "Mo" loved to be out on the water, taking trips to the river and lake as often as possible. When not driving a truck, an almost 40-year occupation that he loved, he had a passion for riding his Harley. None of these could ever compare to his love for Jesus and the love he had for his family and friends, whom he considered family. Morris was a loving father, brother, "granddaddy" and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Norwood. He is survived by his daughters, Amanda Duncan (Chris) and Britney Ellison (Chris). He is also survived by his siblings, Jerry Norwood (Anita), Nancy Starke (Jim), and Teresa Magda (Mike); as well five grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and his girlfriend, Terry Phillips. The family will receive friends at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Chester Chapel, 3050 West Hundred Road, on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM, where a funeral service will take place in the chapel the following day at 11:00 AM.
