Murphy Lynn Radford

Murphy Lynn Radford, 64, passed away on November 16, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward L. Radford and Eleanor M. Radford (née Loftis) and sister, Patsy R. Frederick. He is survived by his daughter, Jenna Grubbs (née Radford) of Prince George, VA; granddaughter, Macie L. Grubbs; sisters, Becky Gorkiewicz of Prince George, VA and Laura Reilly of Overland Park, Kansas; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. Murphy was a graduate of Hopewell High School in 1975 and was employed for 25 years at Honeywell. He loved spending time at the beach, hunting and fishing, and enjoyed family gatherings. He loved baseball and football and was a huge fan of the Indianapolis Colts and Baltimore Orioles. He had a passion for bluegrass country music, especially his father’s band “Evergreen.” The family will receive friends on Monday, November 22, 2021 at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home – Hopewell Chapel, 820 W. Broadway Avenue, from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM, where a service will take place in the chapel at 2:00 PM. Interment will directly follow the service at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be registered the family at www.jtmorriss.com .
