Murray Benjamin Trelford

Murray Benjamin Trelford “Papa,” 73, of Chesterfield, passed away on August 11, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Allan A. Trelford and Victoria Pacchiarotta, and step-daughter, Robyn Slaughter (survived by spouse James and Kendall). Murray was a man with a big heart who would help anyone in need. He spent his whole career in law-enforcement; a total of over 40 years. He eventually retired from Ft. Lee as a civilian Military Police Investigator. He was a Mason at the Chester Masonic Lodge #94 and a charter member and past president of the Blue Knights of Virginia Chapter XVII. He loved fishing, the Miami Dolphins, and riding his Harley Davidson with the Blue Knights, but most of all he loved his family. Murray is survived by his daughter, Victoria Trelford (Mathew Self); grandchildren, Rylan, Kyler, and Evie; step-daughter, Ashley Blakely (Joel and kids); brother, Allan Trelford; nieces, Tori and Stephanie; the mother of his child, Tammy Ellis; special friend, Kathy Patterson; and numerous other family members and friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 15 from 2-4 PM at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Dinwiddie – 6616 Boydton Plank, Dinwiddie, where a funeral service will follow at 4 PM in the chapel. Interment will be private.
