Myra Olgers

Myra F. ?Chippie? Olgers, 89 of Sutherland, VA., died Monday, May 2, 2005 at the Colonial Heights Convalescent Center. She was born in Church Road, VA., to the late Harvey B. Ford and Bessie Watkins Ford and was preceded in death by her husband, Norman C. Olgers. Mrs. Olgers was a lifelong resident of Dinwiddie County and on e of the oldest members of Ocran United Methodist Church, Sutherland, VA. Mrs. Olgers is survived by one daughter, Anita O. Whiting and son-in-law, Robert G. Whiting; one son, Norman C. Olgers, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Janie B. Olgers; four granddaughters, Shayne A. Whiting, Shawn W. Showalter and husband, William Showalter, Sydney O. Seracino and husband, Richard Seracino, Katherine O. Wilson and husband, Gregory Wilson and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Olgers will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, May 5, 2005 at Ocran United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gene Tatum officiating, followed by a private burial service in the Olgers Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 pm Wednesday at Ocran United Methodist Church.
