Myrtle,R. Curtis

Myrtle Reynolds Curtis, 93, of Hopewell, died, January 19, 2005 in John Randolph Medical Center. She was born in Norfolk, Virginia. Mrs. Curtis was a member of West End Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.B. and Ollie Padgett Reynolds, a grandson, Bruce Wayne Curtis five brothers, Coy, Nathan, Naaman, Gathel and Elije. Surviving are her husband of 75 and a half years, Linwood Leslie Curtis of Hopewell, three sons, Alvin B. Curtis and wife Ann of Farnham, Va., E.W. Curtis and wife Opal of Hopewell, Ray Curtis and wife Genny of Columbia, SC., a daughter, Kay C. Williams and husband Earl of Colonial Heights, five grandchildren, Debra, Donna and Kevin Curtis, Michele C. Baxter and Adrienne Williams, four great grandchildren, and a sister, Vernelle Pryde of Walkersville, Md.. The family will receive friends Friday January 21, 2005 from 7-8:30 P.M. in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service.. A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 1PM in the Hopewell Chapel with Rev. Wayne Good officiating. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, Va. at a later date.
