Nancy Kathryn (Anderson) Beardslee

Nancy Kathryn (Anderson) Beardslee, 89, of Colonial Heights, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2025. She was born in DeKalb, Illinois, on May 2, 1935. Nancy was known for her warmth, generosity and loving spirit.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Leona Anderson; her brother, John Anderson; and husband, Pat Beardslee.

She is survived by her children, Blythe Kurtz, Brad Beardslee, Bryce Beardslee, and Bruce Beardslee; her brother, Keith Anderson from Chicago, Illinois; her grandchildren, Christiana Kurtz, Caroline Kurtz, Juliet Kurtz, Grace Beardslee, Kate Beardslee, and Peyton Beardslee, who will miss her immensely.

Nancy lived an adventurous life with her husband of 60 years! After graduating with a degree in nursing, she moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and met Pat Beardslee at Arizona State University. They married in 1960 and began to build a life and family moving across the United States to further his federal government career. Each move expanded their adventurous spirit.

Her memory will forever be etched in our hearts and her love will continue to guide us.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on March 12, 2025, at 4:00 pm, at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
