Nancy Harris Burns, 85, of Carson, formerly of Hopewell, died Wednesday September 21 at her home. She was the daughter of the late James Witt & Nattie Dalton Harris and was predeceased by her loving husband Lester Henry Burns. She was the sister of the late James Hardy Harris, Lewis Hiram Harris, Joseph Dalton Harris, Ralph Thomas Harris, and Helen Harris Perry. Nancy was a member of Hopewell?s Wesley United Methodist Church. She worked at Brown & Williamson for fifteen years and later worked for and retired from the Chesterfield Health Department. She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter Brenda B. Foutz and husband Melvin of Carson Virginia, three grandchildren, Tara Foutz Tisdale and husband Randall of Chesapeake, Amanda Foutz Pulver, Arthur W. Pulver both of Hopewell, eight great grandchildren, a niece Linda Gregg and husband Darrell of Colonial Heights, nephews Steve Harris and wife Judy of Chester, and Pat Harris and wife Judy of Colonial Heights.. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service Thursday 7:00-8:30 PM September 22, a funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Friday at 12:00 PM with the Rev.
