Nancy Rideout Elder

Nancy Rideout Elder, 77 of South Prince George, died on Saturday March 12, 2016. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Nannie Rideout. Nancy retired in contract maintenance with Fort Lee after 32 years of service. She was a member of Concord Methodist Church and had been attending Gary’s Methodist Church in the recent years. She is survived by her husband, Lennie L. Elder Jr.; a sister Willene R. Simmons and her husband, Mitch; five nieces, Michele S. Harris and her husband, Johnny, Denise S. Aleksa and her husband, Jeff, Delores Wells, Margaret Waltrip, Lara Beth Elder; four nephews, Greg Elder, Michael Wells, Lyle Elder, Eric Elder; three great nephews, Brian Harris, Kevin Harris Corey Aleksa; a great niece, Gracie Aleksa; one brother in law, Larry Elder and his wife, Donna; two sister in laws, Jean Wells, Aubrey Elder; and many other extended family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday March 15, 2016 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son. A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Wednesday March 16, 2016 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park.
