Nancy Herndon

Nancy Hawthorne Herndon, 88, of Chesterfield, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Born in Covington, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Everett and Velva Ross Hawthorne and was also preceded in death by her husband, Grover Albert Herndon, Jr. Mrs. Herndon retired from C&P Telephone Company after 30+ years of service. She will be remembered by her family as a loving mother and devoted grandmother. She is survived by two sons, Albert Herndon (Gayle) and Brent Herndon (Josine); and two grandchildren, Avery and Ty. A private funeral service will be held in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, Virginia. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
